Elm Grove is a significant and extensive community amenity in Walton–on-Thames, on the edge of the town centre, fronting on Hersham Road and extending back to include the recreation ground there.
Elmbridge BC has issued a draft Development Brief and put it out for consultation with existing users and the general public to help shape the future development of this site before any decisions are taken.
The site currently houses a Montessori Nursery, Walton Bowling Club, Elmbridge Eco Hub, a Surrey CC Youth Club, and the recreation ground including tennis courts and pavilion. The stated objectives include protecting the Grade II listed building occupied by the Nursery, improving on the recreation ground and facilities, working with the Bowling Club to redeliver the existing provision and working with the Eco-Hub to explore options for relocating it in the vicinity.
