You might have spotted the works recently completed at the front of Churchfields recreation ground. As part of EBC's vision for a more sustainable Elmbridge, they have re-established the flowerbed as a sustainable planting area with a mix of flowering herbaceous, grasses and shrubs.
The spent soil has been removed and organic matter incorporated to give the new planting the best growing conditions possible. To aid establishment the border has been mulched to retain moisture and a leaky hose watering system has been installed for easy, discrete watering.
Planting was completed at the end of October which is a perfect time to allow the flowers and shrubs to bed in and establish themselves before spring. They promise to look stunning and we can't wait to see them flourishing in their new and improved home!
